Zesty Low Sodium Italian Dressing

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 tbsp distilled white vinegar
  • 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard (find one with low sodium)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar or sugar substitute (add more to taste)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp 21 Salute or similar no sodium seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp dried thyme

Directions

Measure all of the dressing ingredients into a small mixing bowl and whisk well to combine. Pour dressing over the salad and toss well to coat.

Good on regular lettuce salads as well as pasta salads. This dressing also make a good marinade.

Store any remaining dressing in a lidded jar and shake well each time before using.

The only sodium in this recipe is in the Dijon mustard
