Simple Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sweet onion, diced
  • 2 slices dill pickle, diced
  • 1/2 rib celery, diced
  • 2 T. mayonnaise
  • 1 can no salt Trader Joe’s Tuna, drained.
  • freshly ground pepper

Directions

Mix everything together well.

This will make 2 sandwiches or 2 Tuna Salad Salads.

If making the Tuna Salad Salad, use romaine lettuce, top with tuna salad, green onion slices and pepper. Add a bit of tomato and a few crackers.

  1. and yet you do NOT list the nutritional values in your recipes. I’m a stage 3 CKD patient and taking someone else’s word for the sodium count in a recipe is not something I will do. So please what is the nutritional values for your Simple Tuna Salad Recipe

  2. I’m with Karen on this one. I’m shocked at how many Lo-So websites, including this one, don’t have any nutritional info!

  3. Most people do not realize that salt causes fluid retention in CKD. It’s scary to make something not knowing if it is good for the person or something that will make the condition worse. A page of kidney friendly tasty foods that men would like is hard to find.
