Mitch’s BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried tart cherries
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 1 cup finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 11/2 cups nsa tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp worchester sauce and I didn’t bother with the lower sodium one
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp horseradish granules

Directions

Cook down 20 minutes run thru a hi speed processor to liquidIfy.

Makes 4 cups. Froze 3 use one in fridge

Use this recipe for a tomato base mop in sauces for ribs etc or by itself

15 mg per 1/4 cup
