Here are some items that you can make at home to help live this low sodium lifestyle a bit easier. Never use salt in any recipes. Takes some getting used to, but it is really worth it.

White bread, flour tortillas, hamburger buns, chili powder, Italian dressing, BBQ sauce, buttermilk baking mix, salsa, ketchup, dill pickles, and bread and butter pickles, soy sauce substitute, Italian seasoning mix, homemade rye bread, homemade focaccia, spaghetti sauce, enchilada sauce, granola, pizza crust, ranch dressing, Dakota bread, Onion Soup mix, Montreal seasoning mix, Emeril’s seasoning mix, Old Bay seasoning mix.

  1. Thank you! Just found this website. Been struggling on restricted sodium diet for a few months. Even harder because I am homebound and have very little help when it comes to my meals. I have shoppers but they aren’t here at meal time. I am sick of low sodium triscuits and cheese or avocado!! So I started writing out recipes and searching online to compare and tweak them before I have my BFF come and we do some cooking and freezing. So thank you for all the legwork provided….I really really appreciate it!!
