Homemade French Onion Dip

1 cup or 16 tbsp

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp dried chopped onion
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • a dash of your favorite low sodium hot sauce

Directions

1. Place sour cream in a small bowl. Add dried onion, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley. Mix together very well until completely uniform. Add hot sauce. Taste with a chip and adjust seasonings if necessary.

2. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dried onion to soften. Store in the refrigerator for 5–7 days.

Makes 1 cup or 16 tbsp of dip – 1 tbsp has 6mg sodium
