Ground Turkey Stroganoff

A quick easy and creamy dish. Comes together quickly and great as leftovers.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 12 ounces button, cermini or baby bella mushrooms
  • 1/2 medium white onion, diced
  • 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
  • 2 -3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 white wine
  • 4 cups no salt added chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons reduced sodium Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 8 ounces egg noodles (picture shows with the whole bag of noodles)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet add mushrooms and onions. Cook until tender and brown. Add your favorite NSA seasonings.

2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned. Add in the garlic and thyme and cook for about 1 minute.
Whisk in flour until lightly browned.

3. Add wine to remove the brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.

4. Add in chicken stock, Worcestershire, Dijon and 8 oz egg noodles. Add more of your favorite NSA seasoning. Bring to boil cover and simmer until noodles are done about 9-10 minutes.

5. Turn off the stove and stir in the sour cream until well mixed and creamy.

6. Warm up your plates and serve.
