Bread Machine Low Sodium Flour Tortillas

Makes 16 approx. 6-7″ tortillas
Adapted for low sodium from original recipe found at https://www.justapinch.com

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/8 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour

Directions

1. Place ingredients into bread pan in the order listed. Only have the machine knead and mix the dough.

2. Once mixing and kneading is complete, divide dough into 16 small portions. Form into a ball, roll out on floured surface as thin as possible.

3. Brown in very hot skillet or griddle. Cook on each side just a few seconds till browning begins.

4. Be sure to keep cooked tortillas refrigerated if not eaten within a day or two since there are no preservatives. These can also be frozen in between sheets of waxed paper to prevent them from sticking to each other.

Each tortilla is approx 166 calories…with 1/8 tsp sea salt in recipe there is 17mg sodium
