Ingredients:

  • 2 cans Trader Joe’s no salt Albacore Tuna,drained
  • 1 can regular Campbell’s Cream of Celery Soup
  • 8 ounces mini shell pasta
  • 1 rib celery, diced
  • 1/4 large onion, diced
  • 1 c. frozen peas
  • 2 ounces Frito Lays Lightly Salted Potato Chips. well crushed, rolling pin works well
  • sprinkles of Paprika and freshly ground pepper are optional

Directions:

Add 4 cups water to large sauce pan, let boil, and add the shell pasta. Boil for 9 minutes. Scoop out the pasta and drain in a collendar, but keep the water in the pan.

Add the celery, onion and frozen peas to the sauce pan full of hot water. Let sit in water 10 minutes., Drain.

In the same large sauce pan, mix the tuna, chopping up the large pieces, along with the onion, celery, pea mixture and the soup. Mix well.

Add the drained shells and mix well.

Using a 2 quart baking pan that has been sprayed, add the casserole mixture.

Top with paprika and pepper, if desired.

Spread the crushed potato chips evenly over the casserole.

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serves 6.

Total sodium is 1570mg when using the listed ingredients.

Each serving is 262mg sodium.

Original recipe. If using low sodium soup or changing ingredients, adjustments to sodium count must be made.
