Angel Hair Pasta with Ham and Walnuts

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz angel hair pasta
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 slices (2 ounces)  Tyson ham (found at Sam’s Club)
  • 1/2 ounce shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 c. chopped fresh parsley
  • pepper to taste

Directions:

Boil pasta in a medium sauce pan using unsalted water as you start the remainder of the meal.

Heat oil in large pan on medium to medium high. Add the garlic and saute while stirring for 1 minute. Add the walnuts and ham stirring for 3 minutes.

Drain the pasta well and add to the large pan. Stir around to heat and incorporate everything.

Plate up the portions topping with the Parmesan and parsley. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.

Preparation time is 25 minutes.

Serve with a side salad.
