Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts strawberries, cleaned and sliced
  • 3 cups water, divided
  • 2 small packages Strawberry Jello- regular or no sugar added is fine
  • whipped cream, optional

Directions:

In a large sauce pan, add 2 cups water and bring to a boil. Add the two packages of Jello, whisk until the Jello is dissolved. This should take 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and add the remaining 1 cup of water and whisk.

Now add the strawberries and stir.

Pour into a 10 x 10 inch casserole dish or a dish about the same size.

Carefully cover the dish with plastic wrap and, without spilling, place in refrigerator to chill firm. When firm, cut into 9 servings.

Top with whipped cream, if desired

Makes 9 servings
