Ingredients
- 450g top round steak (trimmed of all visible fat)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cups water
- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh)
- 1 medium onion, cut into slivers
- 8 oz white mushrooms, quartered
- 1/2 green pepper, cut into slivers
- 1 tbsp sodium reduced teriyaki sauce (320mg)
- 1 tbsp Teriyaki Coconut Aminos (280mg)
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- Pepper to taste
- Red pepper chili flakes (optional)
Directions
1. Slice beef in strips. Put 1 tbsp sesame oil in skillet and brown the beef on medium heat. Remove the beef to a bowl.
2. Put vegetables into the skillet with 1/4 cup water and stir fry until they are almost cooked but still crunchy and the broccoli is bright in color. Return beef to skillet , reduce heat to low and heat until all is heated through
3. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch with the teriyaki sauce, coconut aminos, add some water if necessary and pour over the meat and vegetables. Stir to coat all the beef and vegetables.
4. Cook stirring constantly, until thickened.
Serve with rice or noodles.
