Slow Cooker Granny Smith Applesauce

Ingredients:

  • 4 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 t. cinnamon
  • 1 T. brown sugar
  • 1/8 t. ground ginger
  • 1/8 t. ground cloves
  • 1/4 t. ground nutmeg
  • 4 T. dried cranberries
  • 1/2 c. apple juice

Directions:

In a saucepan, add apples, cranberries and spices. Pour in the juice and cover.

Heat to boiling and turn down heat to medium. Watch carefully and stir until apples start to get mushy.

You may have to cook 30 minutes or so. Just keep an eye on it.

Serve warm or chilled as a side dish or dessert.
